Urnäsch II (Neuer Sylvester)
As a tradition with many intricacies, Sylvesterklausen can't fall on a Sunday, regardless of whether it's on the new or old New Year's Eve (13th of January). When either of those happens to occur on a Sunday, the men mount into their heavy "Grost", composed of large bells and richly appointed headgear, a day early - as they did this year, when their "Schtrech" began in the wee hours of December 30th.
